Everywhere is now a kitchen.
Three hundred millilitres of boiling water, in something that rides in a bag.
Two walls, and nothing between them.
Food-grade 304 stainless, double-walled and vacuum sealed. That vacuum is why it can boil inside, stay hot for 12–24 hours off the cord, and still be comfortable to hold on the outside.
The display uses Celsius. The guide on the back shows Fahrenheit.
The maker prints a conversion guide on the back of every bottle — ten rows, Fahrenheit beside Celsius.
| °F | °C | °F | °C |
|---|---|---|---|
| 50° | 10° | 140° | 60° |
| 68° | 20° | 158° | 70° |
| 86° | 30° | 176° | 80° |
| 104° | 40° | 194° | 90° |
| 122° | 50° | 212° | 100° |
The touch panel sets 40–100 °C (104–212 °F), one degree at a time.
Black tea — strong
Ranges are common brewing guidance. The BOTA is set and displayed in Celsius; Fahrenheit is shown here and on the printed back guide for easy reading. This dial is a guide and does not control the bottle.
The lid
A leak-proof screw cap that closes tight so it can ride in a bag. After a boil, give it about two minutes before you open it.
The steeping chamber
Clear, so you can watch it brew. A perforated filter floor holds loose leaf above the water — or use a bag. It unscrews from the body.
The heated body
Double-wall stainless with the touch panel and display at the base. Plug it in to heat; unplugged, it stays hot for 12–24 hours.
Loose leaf. Not dust in paper.
The perforated filter floor holds whole leaf — no pods, no paper to keep re-buying. Rinse it and fill it again.
Unlock it. Tip it over.
It heats with the chamber locked. When it beeps, unlock it by turning the top and tip it almost all the way over until the hot water fills the chamber. Lock it, stand it upright and steep 1–3 minutes. Unlock it upright and the tea drains down into the bottle.

Lid, chamber, heated body.
The screw lid closes the chamber. The clear chamber has a perforated filter floor for loose leaf. The body carries the touch panel and display.

Unlock, tip, lock and steep.
It heats locked. At the beep, unlock and tip it until the chamber fills, lock it and steep upright, then unlock and the tea drains down.

Step by step · 1:17 · sound on
- Water and tea, first
Fill the bottle with water. Put loose leaf (or a tea bag) in the clear chamber, screw it on and put the lid on. Keep the chamber locked while it heats.
- Plug it in and turn it on
Plug it in first — Confirm/Cancel only works while it’s plugged in. Press Confirm/Cancel to turn it on.
- Set the temperature
Tap the temperature pad: +1° per tap, hold for +5°. It counts up, then starts over. Press Confirm again to lock it in. The screen reads °C — the °F guide is printed on the back.
- Wait for the beep
Leave it alone. The number climbs from the water’s temperature up to your setting, then it gives a low beep.
- Unlock and tip
Unlock it by turning the top part (not the clear chamber — it gets hot). Tip the bottle almost all the way over until the hot water fills the chamber.
- Lock and steep
Lock it, stand it upright and let it steep 1–3 minutes.
- Unlock and enjoy
Unlock it again while it’s upright and the tea drains down into the bottle. Let it sit a couple of minutes, then enjoy.
Good to know
Loose leaf drains best. Tea bags work too — if one slows the draining, give it a gentle shake.
Unplugged, it doesn’t heat. Tap the temperature pad to see how hot the water is.
First use: boil once with a little loose leaf to clear the new smell.
